RIM releases BlackBerry Playbook
As it was expected today RIM started sale of its first tablet computer. At present moment it is available only in Canada and US but some weeks later in will be released in other countries. 16GB version of BlackBerry Playbook will cost $500, 32GB version costs $600, the price 64GB ones is $700. This tablet is based on 1GHz dual-core processor pared with 1GB RAM, 7-inch capacitive touch screen with 1024x600px resolution. The list of other specification of BlackBerry Playbook includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5MP camera, 3MP front-facing webcam, MicroHDMI output. The tablet runs on BlackBerry OS.
BlackBerry Style 9670 QWERTY clamshell phone
Canadian RIM has just announced its new device. It is the second company’s clamshell phone with full QWERTY keyboard. BlackBerry Style 9670 is a smartphone powered by BlackBerry 6.0 operating system. It is equipped with 5MP camera with autofocus and flash, 512MB RAM, TFT display with 360x400px resolution, MicroSD external memory card slot, 3.5mm headphones jack. There are also such usual modules as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The battery of this smartphone provides 4.5 hour of talk time, 14 hour of music playback or 10 days of idle time. BlackBerry Style 9670 will become available in Sprint mobile operator’s shops on October, 31 and will cost $100 with two-year contract.
Coming BlackBerry Bold
The first information about this mobile device appeared some months ago. But only today RIM showed its official photo and list of specifications. BlackBerry Bold has typical design for all RIM’s devices and features 3.2 Mp camera with flash and autofocus, Wi-Fi module, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and 3.5 mm jack. The screen has 480х360 px resolution. It is expected that BlackBerry Bold will be officially announced by the end of this year.
