Skytex company has just announced its first tablet computer featuring an extremely low price – just $89. Taiwanese Camangi Corporation has just introduced its first tablet computer – Mangrove 7 comp. This device runs on Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system and is based on NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform that includes 1GHz Cortex-A9 dual-core processor. NEC VersaPro VT Win7 tablet computer
Japanese NEC has just officially announced its new tablet computer that is positioned as a device for corporate users. In contrast to many other tablets it runs not on Android but on Windows 7 operating system. NEC VersaPro VT is based on Intel Oak Trail platform with 1.5GHz processor and has 10-inch capacitive touchscreen with 1280x800px resolution, GMA 600 graphics accelerator, 2GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. The release of this device will take place in September.
RIM releases BlackBerry Playbook
As it was expected today RIM started sale of its first tablet computer. At present moment it is available only in Canada and US but some weeks later in will be released in other countries. 16GB version of BlackBerry Playbook will cost $500, 32GB version costs $600, the price 64GB ones is $700. This tablet is based on 1GHz dual-core processor pared with 1GB RAM, 7-inch capacitive touch screen with 1024x600px resolution. Coby Electronics has just announced one more budget-class tablet. Coby Kyros MID7024 is based on 1Ghz Samsung S5PV210 ARM Cortex-A8 processor and is powered by Google Android 2.2 Froyo operating system. It is equipped with 7-inch resistive touch screen with 480x800px resolution, 1.3MP front-facting webcam, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, SDHC memory card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphones jack, HDMI output, USB port. The device measures 195х120х14mm and weights 400g. The battery has 2000mAh capacity. The price of Coby Kyros MID7024 is $166.
Olivetti OliPad 100 Android tablet
This device is the first tablet computer of Italian Olivetti company. Olivetti OliPad 100 is powered by Google’s Android 2.2 Froyo operating system and is based on NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform. The device is equipped with 10.1-inch capacitive multi-touch screen with 1024x600px resolution, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, SD external memory card slot, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G module. Olivetti OliPad 100 will become available in Europe in next few weeks and will cost €394.
Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 Win7 tablet
Fujitsu Technology Solution (previously known as Fujitsu Siemens) has just announced its first tablet computer based on Intel Oak Trail platform. Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 runs on Windows 7 operating system and is equipped with 10-inch IPS multi-touch capable screen with 1280x800px resolution, 2GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB internal storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, miniHDMI output, SD external memory card slot, 3.5mm headphones jack, stereo loudspeaker, USB 2.0 port. There is also optional 3G modem supporting GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSPA+ networks. Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 has been already available in Europe for EUR699.
G-Slate also comes to Europe
Last week LG together with T-Mobile USA officially announced T-Mobile G-Slate with Google by LG. But yesterday LG also announced European version of its first tablet computer. In Europe it will be sold as LG Optimus Pad but the list of specifications is the same. LG G-Slate is a tablet computer running on Google Android 3.0 honeycomb operating system. It is based on NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform and is equipped with 8.9-inch capacitive touch screen with 1280x720px resolution, 32GB internal storage, Wi-Fi, 3G module, accelerometer, HDMI output, 2MP webcam, 6400mAh battery. The release of LG Optimus Pad will take place in May.
