Philips has just demonstrated its new Xenium series mobile phone. It is budget class device but like other Xenium phone this device features impressive battery life – 8.5 hours of talk time or 30 days of idle one. Besides taking in to consideration the price of this phone it has not bad set of characteristics. Philips Xenium X312 supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900/1800/1900 MHz networks and is equipped with 240x320px resolution, 2 Mp camera, FM radio with RDS, 5 Mb internal storage, MicroSD external memory card slot, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP. The dimensions are 111×46.6×14.15mm, the weight is 101g.
Tegra 2 platform based tablet
Nvidia together with Foxconn has just demonstrated the prototype of the tablet based in Tegra 2 platform. This computer is equipped with 1 GHz ARM Cortex processor, 8.9 inch capacitive multi-touch capable screen, 1 GB DDR2 RAM, frontal 1.3 Mp camera for video calls, two USB 2.0 ports, accelerometer. This tablet runs on Google Android OS but there is no information about its version. No word about price and release date.
Coming Lenovo IdeaPad U165 laptop
According to some unofficial sources Lenovo will soon launch its new laptop based on AMD platform. Lenovo IdeaPad U165 is equipped with 11.6 inch display, 4 Gb DDR3 RAM, 320 Gb hard drive, 5-in-1 cardreader (SD/MMC/MS/MS pro/xD), LAN, VGA, HDMI output, four USB 2.0 ports. The operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate or Windows 7 Home Premium. It is expected that this laptop will become available in the beginning of September and will cost about EUR500.
Android 2.2 Froyo: some details
It seems that new version of popular Google’s operating system for mobile devices will be officially announced in next few days. Some addicts have already tested Android 2.2 Froyo and find it very impressive. It is said that Davlik VM, the kernel of this OS, operates four times faster in Android 2.2 than in Android 2.1. It is also known that the Froyo features some new functions. New version of this OS provides an opportunity to use device running on Android as Wi-Fi hotspot and USB modem. It is expected that Google Android 2.2 Froyo will be demonstrated on Google I/O conference.

According to some unofficial sources Samsung will soon officially announce its regular smartphone running on Google Android 2.1 operating system. There are no any photos of Samsung R880 Acclaim but we have some information about its list of specifications. It is notable that it is very close to Samsung Galaxy Spica’s ones. It is sliding device with full QWERTY keyboard.
