iLuv i1166 PMP
At last iLuv officially announced its new portable media player – iLuv i1166. This PMP features 9 inch screen for viewing video from a variety of sources including DVDs, USB drives, and SD/MCC memory cards. Users also can watch video from their iPods It also has two 3.5 mm headphone jacks and built-in loud speakers. Playable Media are Audio CD / VCD / SVCD / DVD / CD-R / CD-RW / DVD±R / DVD±RW / DivX / MP3 / WMA / JPEG. This device is supplied with remote control (battery included). It is expected that iLuv i1166 will become available by the end of the next month and will cost about $260.
Samsung M3310 budget phone
Samsung will soon release its new budget mobile phone – Samsung M3310 – designed for music lovers. The main feature of this double sliding phone is loud speaker. The list of characteristics also includes TFT screen with 240х320 px resolution and 65K colors, 3.2 Mp camera, Bluetooth 2.0, FM radio, 40 Mb built-in memory, microSDHC memory card slot. Supported network standards are GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz. The dimensions of the case are 101.8×46.9×15.9 mm. It will become available in South Korea in next few weeks.
Fly DS210 Dual SIM phone
This sliding phone belongs to middle class and features Dual SIM card mode support. The screen of this device has 240×320 px resolution and 262K colors. Fly DS210 is also equipped with 26 Mb built-in memory, microSDHC car slot (up to 16 Gb), 3.2 Mp camera, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and 900 mAh battery. The case of Fly DS210 measures 97.4 x 48 x 14.7 mm. The weight is 90 g.
UMPC-891A Chinese Tablet PC
Chinese Sinchun company has just released its new mobile device – UMPC-891A. The main feature of this ultra mobile computer is its price – only $441. It is equipped with 8.9 inch touch screen with 1024×600 px resolution, Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz CPU, GMA950 graphic adapter, 1.3 Mp camera, 1 Gb RAM, 8 or 32 Gb SSD, Wi-Fi, 3G module and 3 USB ports. The operating system is Windows XP. The weight of this UMPC is 1 kg. The dimensions are 250х168х21.3 mm. The battery has 1700 mAh capacity and provides up to 2 hours of active using.
Samsung Freeform QWERTY phone
South Korean Samsung company together with Alltel mobile operator announced its new smartphone. It is Samsung Freeform. This QWERTY mobile device belongs to budget series but has not bad set of technical characteristics – 2.2 inch screen with 176×144 px resolution, 1.3 Mp camera, Bluetooth with A2DP, 3.5 mm audio jack, 128 Mb RAM, 256 Mb ROM and microSD memory card slot. Samsung Freeform measures 112.3х61х12.9 mm and weights 104 g. Unfortunately there is no any information about release date and price.
Coming BlackBerry Bold
The first information about this mobile device appeared some months ago. But only today RIM showed its official photo and list of specifications. BlackBerry Bold has typical design for all RIM’s devices and features 3.2 Mp camera with flash and autofocus, Wi-Fi module, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and 3.5 mm jack. The screen has 480х360 px resolution. It is expected that BlackBerry Bold will be officially announced by the end of this year.
HTC Touch HD2 will run on Android
According to some sources HTC is almost ready to introduce heir of its HTC Touch HD. It is not surprise that it will be called HTC Touch HD2. The main feature of this communicator is its operating system – not Windows Mobile but Android. It is also said that coming mobile device will have Qualcomm 628 MHz CPU, 3.8 inch touch screen with 480×800 px resolution, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules.
LG GW880 Android phone for China
LG together with China Mobile operator demonstrated its new communicator – LG GW880. It is first LG’s device that runs on OMS which is version of Google Android operating system. Supported network standard is TD-SCDMA (China’s 3G). LG GW880 has 3.5 inch touch screen with WVGA (480×800 px) resolution, 5 Mp camera with flash, 256 Mb RAM, 512 Mb ROM, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, microSD and TV-tuner. This mobile device will be available only in China but we are sure that LG will soon announce new Android devices for European an US mobile market.
