Samsung Omnia Pop
Japanese Softbank mobile operator announced Samsung Omnia Pop touch screen phone. It has monoblock shape factor and nice set of technical features. The screen has 3 inch diagonal and supports 480×800 px resolution. There is also 5 Mp camera with autofocusing and picture stabilization function, Bluetooth, GPS, 1Seg TV tuner and microSDHC memory card slot. Availbale colors are pink, white and blue. The dimensions are 111.2х50.9х13.1 mm.
Philips W186
Recently Philips announced another mobile phone – Philips W186. It belongs to budget series devices but has third generation networks support including HSDPA up to 3.6 Mbps. Other technical characteristics of this phone are 2 inch TFT screen with 176×220 px resolution and 256K colors, 150 Mb built in memory, 2 Mp camera, additional 0.3 Mp camera for video calls, microSD card slot, Bluetooth with A2DP and FM radio. Supported network standards are GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS/HSDPA 850/2100 MHz.
Samsung OmniaPRO B7320
Yesterday Samsung also announced some new mobile devices. One of them is Samsung OmniaPRO B7320 communicator. In contrast to other Omnia series devices this one has QWERTY keyboard and has no touch screen. This device is very similar to Samsung SGH-i637 Jack which was announced a month ago by AT&T mobile operator. Samsung OmniaPRO B7320 has 528 MHz CPU, 2.4 inch screen with 240×320 px resolution and 65K colors, 3 Mp camera, 0.3 Mp camera for video calls, 256 Mb RAM, 256 Mb ROM, microSDHC card slot, FM radio with RDS, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, A-GPS support and 3.5 mm audio jack. Nokia 5530 XpressMusic smartphone
Nokia has just introduced its new Nokia 5530 XpressMusic smartphone. It is company’s third touch screen phone. In contrast to its predecessor (5800 XpressMusic) this device has less impressive set of technical features – there is no 3G support, GPS module. Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is equipped with 2.9 inch touch screen with 640×360 px resolution and tactile feedback technology support, 3.2 Mp camera with autofocus and flash gun, 70 Mb built in memory, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack, Wi-Fi module and FM radio. The operating system is Symbian S60 5th Edition. Nokia 5530 XpressMusic will become available in the third quarter of this year and will cost €200.
Samsung SCH-R460 MyShot II
Samsung SCH-R460 MyShot II clamshell phone belongs to budget class but in contrast to its predecessor this phone has more advanced set of technical characteristics – 1.3 Mp camera with autofocusing and flash, microSD memory cards slot (up to 8 Gb), 2.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and 800 mAh battery. The screen supports 176×220 px resolution, additional screen has 96×96 px resolution. The dimensions are 94х46х17 mm, the weight is 96 g. Samsung SCH-R460 MyShot II will be sold by Alltel Wireless mobile operator’s shops and will cost $140.
